I purchased 2 female albino checkered garters in '05 that have reached 19 and 20 inches, both are heathly eaters and have a good girth size, but they don't have the length I expected by now. The same year I purchased a female california redsided garter from Scott Felzer's line and she has reached 30 inches. From what I've read they both are supposed to reach 36 inches or more when grown. The redsided is eating fuzzies while the checkered are still on cut up fish and worms. Is that the reason for the differences in size?
