Linda,
Thanks for asking... He's still hanging in there. A week ago I was sure he would not be with us at this point, but his weight loss has stabilized for the time being. He still needs assistance with eating as he has lost the control of the end of his tongue and food goes everywhere when he eats. Fortunately, he seems to be very hungry and is eating a lot (3-4 big collard leaves a day in addition to his normal bowl of veggies and greens). He still has a lot of energy although not quite the strength he had before. He still wants to pick fights with me and is actively molesting his toy daily... He is cooperative with me though when he needs my assistance (wiping his face after eating , putting him up on his shelf, and giving him water and or gatorade to drink), so I am thankful for that.
He wants to be outside most of the time, so I am letting him do that as much as possible. His toenails seem to have stopped growing and he has worn them down to almost nothing, so I don't have to worry about him climbing up anything... It's starting to get too hot for him to be out though, so I let him out for twenty minutes or so and bring him back in. Eventually he starts scratching at the door and I let him back out.
I took a couple of photos of him today, I'll get them posted a bit later... I have to get ready for work...

Here are a few photos from this afternoon:

This is from January as a comparison:

Wow, he really has slimmed down. I hope he snaps out of it.
Keep us posted
