I feed the snakes once a week one large rat. Is that enough for breeding. Should I keep myu males at one rat a week and give the girls 2?????? PLease let me know. there not growing and at jan 04s there five feet and not putting on 2 much weight. I would say there 10 and 12 pounds.

I need to know if I need to feed them more for breeding weight

Increase the size of the rats you are feeding them. At 4 years old they should be up to jumbo's or extra large jumbos. They should get some more weight before they breed.

Depends on the locality. For the smaller localls, they are fine. For the larger ones, they are behind. More info please.
Sorry I couldn't help more.

I do agree that you females should put on some more weight. I would start increasing the food intake for them and "I" would maintain the male about the same. My first litter of Anerys was from a female that was 6-6 1/2ft and 15-17lbs. She produced 16 live and some pills. It was a good litter for a first attempt I think. You do stand a better chance of a larger litter with a larger and more robust female. "Robust" not "Fat". Anyone here that breeds on a good regular basis will tell you, the health and well being of the animals should be paramount.

I think it was 16 and 4 or 5 pills. All were awesome.

1. Okay would 2 large rodentpro rats a week work to get the female double het jan 04's for snows ready for nov? Would it harm them to feed them extra cause I have been growing them up slow?
2. My male double het is 6ft and weighs 20 pounds. Is he a good weight.? Do I need to feed him more also?
3. My 05 ghost female eats one large rat a week. She is already 12 pounds and 5 feet. she is more girth then my double hets would she be safe to breed to my albino in nov. I don't see the need to feed her much more cause she gains alot off of each weekly feeding.
4. My albino male dont put on weight he is 5ft and weighs 15 pounds do I need to fatten him up????

Your female is a full year at least behind proper breeding age. My advice is for you to go a bit slower, and worry more about the females maturity. Size does not mean mature. Breeding that female this year would be like getting a 12 year old girl prego. Might be able to, but still not mature enough for it.

I don't breed them, regardless of size, until they are 4 yrs old, AND, at a proper weight/size ratio.

My 2 cents.
