Super Stripe CA Boas - just born!

conleyherps Jun 18, 2007 12:21 PM

Check it out - born between 8 and 11 am this morning. Mama is doing fine - just as feisty as always. Now that they have arrived, we can relax and wait for our first human baby, due in 4 weeks. We will post more pics when they have been separated and bathed.

27 babies, and 1 slug. No count on the number of super stripes, or possibles yet, but they are INSANE looking. CRAZY patterns...just like last year!!

Cool looking stripes!

When we started this project several years ago, we were told that the Super stripe, a CA, was bred to a columbian. That made us believe that these were Col/CA crosses. Simple enough, but recently, more information has come to light that suggests that these are CA crosses (Honduran X ????). Without writing a book here, their true locality or origin is unknown. And no one can say for sure who's animals came from which breeding pair. That does suck, but we are going to breed our Supers to Columbian and CA lines.

All the animals in this litter appear CA to me.
