Photos of my 2007 Blushing Mojaves

fgs Jun 18, 2007 04:00 PM

These guys are from my first clutch of blushing Mojaves.

Last year was my first year to produce mojaves or should I say mojave. I only had one clutch and only one out of three babies was a mojave. She looked just like her Dad with lots of blushing.

It's great to see the high amount of blushing show up in the other clutches.

I hope every one is having a great season.

Here are a couple of photos I took of the 2006 female. The first photo is of her after her first shed and the second photo is of her a few weeks ago.

I love Mojaves with a lot of blushing.

Nice one Brian...did you use a lighter female to get that one? I've got two clutches due this week...I hope I get a couple that look that good. I used mainly light colored girls, but also got a clutch from a really dark one...just wanted to see how much influence it would have in the babies.

Dale:

The mother of these babies is a very nice light normal female. The father is an acceptional mojave that I bought from Dan and Collette about three years ago. He was one of the finest looking mojaves I've ever seen and I believe has been very influential in passing on the amount of blushing we're seeing in the 2007 babies.

If you go to my web site and check out the photos I have of the mojaves shown in the price list all but the last photo is of the original male. The last photo in the series of photos is of his daughter that hatched out last year.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I hope every one is having a great season.

Brian, Yep...he's definitely a smoker, my male isn't too far off that look. Here's a picture of him and also a female that I got a 5 egg clutch from that I'm really looking forward to.

Dale:

Both snakes look great. Your female normal looks better than anything I have bred my mojave to. Please post some photos of the babies after they have shed.

Good luck with the rest of your season.
