Well Lance and I went out west leaving at 5pm from the DFW area on Friday. We encountered some of the absolute worst storms I have ever seen. 4 hours of driving in rain, hail, power outages at Gas Stations and lightning that would scare even the most experienced Storm Chasers. We arrived at Sanderson after 1 am Saturday Morning. We saw many Millipedes and Tarantulas. Due to the rain the inverts were everywhere. But like everyone else we were looking for the infamous Scolopendra or Centipede. We didn't see any the first night, but OH WOULD OUR LUCK CHANGE!!!!!!! There were plenty of fellow insect hobbyist in town from all over. It was a real pleasure meeting the crew from California in person. Also meeting an "old-timer" that I have emailed and heard of but never met, was great. I can't put it any more bluntly... If you were in Sanderson and you were looking for Scolo's you found one. It was absolutely AMAZING... (This excludes the crew that was cutting people off and racing around hunters at 80mph. I hear you didn't see any... that is called karma) I have never seen so many inverts in one weekend... Congrats to everyone...
Best Wishes...
