Triple Het Hondurans

Nathan Wells Jun 18, 2007 09:49 PM

Other than producing many of the mutations we see today, one of my main goals this year was to produce a few clutches of nice triple het hondurans. Although the breeding of the hondurans within the collection has been underway, for some reason, my ghost male has been completely disinterested in two of my tricolor albino females. My chances of getting triple hets fades away as the weeks pass by. Many of my good friends who work with hondurans are not producing them either this year. So I ask, how many of you other guys will have some?

but my situation is similar to yours. I have a HUGE '03 hypo female that has never produced eggs for some bizarre reason. I think my snow male is getting a bit put off by her

I just introduced a ghost male to an intermediate albino (het-anery) ... they are definitely off to a late start but we will see what happens. Tripple hets from extreme lines would be nicer!

I have a clutch in the incubator that should have anery double het hybinos and double het hybino 66% het anery hatchlings. I will be keeping lots back

The closest I'll get to triple hets would be ghosts definite het for albino.

That pairing is an anery het hypo male to a snow possible het hypo female. Even if the snow turns out to be not hypo I'll still get all anery het albino, possible het hypo. I went for this pairing in the hopes of producing ghosts definite het for albino because when those are bred together it will produce ghosts and triple homozygous offspring - something no one has done yet.

I have a ghost female that I could have paired up with a tangerine albino male but opted to pair her with the anery het hypo to get more ghosts. Maybe I should have gone the triple het route - especially since the odds are that I'm going to be way heavy on anerys. Oh well.

Here's pics of the pairing above, the snow is now considerably larger:

Hi,
I breed this year the Hypo TriColor Vanishing female with my anerythristic, het. Hypo & het. Albino male - female is pictured below -
and the Hypo TriColor aberrant Female (also pictured)with an Tangerine Albino Male.

Both females are gravid and the aberrant will lay her eggs in 4 days -
the Vanishing refused feeding and will go into her pre egg sheeding in the next 10 days -

The last triple morph Variation this year is the anerythristic, het. Hypo & het. Albino male pairing with my Hypo, het. anerythristic & het. Albino female. 11 good eggs incubating, last year snow, super Hypo, ghost and anerythristic hatched - I cross the fingers for Hybinos this year -
I will post pictures from the two clutches mentioned above - and i wish all of you a lot of healthy and stunning animals.

cheers
thomas

To my surprise...I will have triple hets this year. I bread my clean Ghost to my Amel Het Anery. I'm looking forward to seeing some Anery's het Amel and Hypo. I may keep one back if I have some room...who knows. It was her first clutch and large at that...8 eggs all good, so far.

Can't wait!

I have a few eggs from a Tangerine Albino het Anery possible het Hypo male bred to an Anery het Albino possible het Hypo female. Hoping all 6 eggs hatch. Very small female for an 04, the male is proven, but has not proved to be het Hypo yet. So.....they may be like super advanced triple hets LOL, time will tell
