Whats a good set up for hogg island boas? anybody use a rack system?
Hog Island boas (note the spelling, double g's are often used but it's incorrect, Caya de Cochinos translates to Hog or Pig Island, no reason for the extra) can be housed just like common BCI.
The only difference is really that they won't get quite as big as adults. I keep my small adult male (he's fully grown but has remained petite) in a 28" x 24" x 12" cage, though breeding-sized or adult females should probably be kept in a 48" long cage. My adult female's cage was 45" x 18" x 15" (though she passed away last spring).
Otherwise, follow the temperature, humidity and hide-spot requirements you can find in multiple caresheets and FAQs about BCI (common boas).
Hope this helps!
