Red tail boa drooling

Hey, i just got a red tailed boa from my aunt not to long ago and she has spit coming out of her mouth like she's drooling or sumthing.

Possible Respritory Infection? can you hear it breath aka wheezing etc?

1. (and hopefully this is it) Your boa just finished taking a long cool drink of water. Sometimes after they drink and then start to move about small amount left in their mouth will come out looking something like drool.

2. (hopefully this is NOT it) Your boa is showing signs of a respiratory infection. If this is the case you need to see a vet ASAP and get the animal Baytril or some other type of medication used to treat R.I.

If you feel comfortable enough try opening the snakes mouth and taking a quick peek inside. A healthy mouth will not have excessive amounts of saliva present and no big "bumps" around that might suggest infected teeth.
