Hey Dave!

Liann Jun 19, 2007 01:08 PM

Remember that little male anery sand boa I was trying to resist? Yeah, well he's sitting here on my desk at work. So much for will power! I'll get some pics of him when I get home. It is all your fault!

Dave is a very very very bad influence and you should stop all contact with him or suffer the consequences like adding a few snakes a year to the collection but that isn't always a bad thing though. Welcome to the forum btw

Lol, yes I am learning quickly that he is trouble! Thanks for the welcome!

Haven't come up with a name yet, but here's my new little Anery Sand Boa. He's a cutie. Wish I could figure this new camera out. Everything has a nasty bluish hue to it...

Spiffy myself cuz I wouldn't name my snake Blotchy but then again it is not my snake so I'll throw both of the names at you
Bob

Wow at first I thought it was actually a bluish snake..which is a cool look..but since your camera gives a bluish hue to everything...I guess that blue color isn't there when the snake is seen in person...sigh. I guess it is more black/white in person? Beautiful snake regardless. I am starting to develop an attraction to sand boas lately....especially the morphs.

Yeah it's just the stupid camera. Which really ticks me off because I had an OLD Olympus from like 6 years ago that always took good pics. But I wanted a new smaller camera. I bought the updated Olympus with 7.1 megapixels etc.. and it takes CRAPPY pictures. I'm sure there is some setting to play with that will make them look better, I just need a special degree to figure it out. Anyways, sorry to rattle on, it just annoys me.

Here is a pic from the breeder. It shows the actual color a little better. It is a very cool snake.

Looks like a very pretty critter you have their. I still haven't gotten my big female rough scale yet, but you'll be the first to know. Also, I can't remember who posted the pics of the rosy boas, but I'm seriously considering getting one too, later this year. I'm opening up an entire wall where I can put snakes, snakes, and more snakes. A rosy is going to be the first purchase I make with my "gecko" money (that is, after I buy a Xbox 360, lol). Anyways, have fun with him Kenyans are the bomb! -Jacob

Thanks Jacob!!! Can't wait to see your roughscale boa! I know what you mean about Rosy's. They are next on my list too. Hopefully, there will be some good Rosy dealers at the Mid Atlantic show in September. That will probably be the next show I go to and the next time I can actually add to the collection. I just sprung for a few female Kenyans and my husband is going to kill me! lol

I know that I've showed these guys before but tword the back is one of my anerys from last year. I really like them because of their steel blue color. As they age the striping dulls out to closer to the background blue/grey.

Mike,
..They are beautiful. The variation between the morphs is nice.

Thanks Jeff,
It makes for an exiting litter when you can have multiple looks popping out to greet you from birth.
Rosy boas are kinda fun just for the simple reason that even without morphs in the mix there are so many different looks and colors just simply from their locality differences.
