Whats the parents????
Ca'mon....
i think it is a woma python x ball python. hybrid. but didnt we all know that already? i too wondered what the snake was on the last page. i think kevin had one at tinley park 2006.
joe
What a waste of a perfectly good Ball Python
Sorry, just do not get the whole "Let's do it just because we can mentality." But, to each his own.
Dave
what's wrong with it? After all, we are breeding pet snakes aren't we? They make them because they are pretty and make interesting "PETS". It is not a genetic combination that in a few years could be mistaken as a pure ball or pure woma so we don't have to worry about the dishonest people out there trying to sell them off as the next big morph (no I'm not saying Mike is a dishonest person, I've bought from him before and will in the future). The great thing about most python hybrids is that they look nothing like their parents, which I think is the appeal to them. I myself am going to be working on producing a granite tiger bateater in the future because the regular bateaters just rock and I think adding those other mutations to the mix will just be killer.
It's a good thing about this hobby that not everyone has to like what other people breed, there is enough of a selection out there already and to be made to keep everyone busy.

Are you sure you want to make an albino woma by way of an albino ballpython and destroy the genetics of the womas. Also take away from someone that might get lucky enough to produce an albion woma, because who would believe him after the mutts get out.Terry
Yes I am . Itll be a woma cross not a pure woma and will be labeled as such. If you make and albino woma thats a pure woma. let me know I'll buy it and quit my project... I promise...

I am sure you will label it a such, but will everyone else.Look at the tricolors some dealers dont even know what they have.this is just my take on this but the ball python has some great morphs, add womas angolans bloods carpets and any other python that will cross and what will our market be.I can tell you from experiance as a show promoter crosses do not sell well or for much money .Terry
crosses don't sell well or for much? Well when breeding gophers to pines or bulls, why would they? They look worse than the originals. There are those that like hybrids and those that don't. You ask what will our hobby be like in the future, well there will be some killer looking "pet" pythons out there. Some of the reasons people don't like bp's are they don't eat very well, they don't get big enough, and they don't have a personallity. With the hybrids that have been done already all of those problems get solved and they all look awesome. Heck I can't wait for a retic x ball hybrid, who here wouldn't want a 20ft bp that will eat everytime you try to feed it, lol.

I agree with Terry. Sure, the first few years, all will be labeled as crosses/or hybrids. The problem, and this is just my take, is when the newness, or coolness-if there every was any-wears off, and people cannot dump them, and if some look like a cool new morph Ball, some might sell them as a new CH Ball morph. I have no doubt that Micheal has integrity, and my comments are for the people several years down the road, who just want to make a buck.
Dave
Everyone has likes and dislikes.I dont buy sell own or recomend hybrids. Some occur in the wild but the last time I looked Africa was not touching Austrailia.Terry
Thanks all for your words of wisdom. I will take it all into consideration as I take the first Wall sale monies to the bank this afternoon knowing that I never offered them for sale but had a buyer come to me. With a CASH offer.. a BIG ONE.For Specifically.......... a pet.
Then i will enjoy my remaining animals as they grow and enjoy my little piece of Altered nature.

Your welcome, nice to know that money is all you care about.
I've bought from Michael and he cares alot about his animals. He made the hybrid because he thinks it is awesome. He sold one as a pet and is keeping the others apparently. Everyone here who has hundreds plus animals cares about the money and those that say they don't are lying to themselves.

I was thinking albino woma and CASH in the comments. The ball python market has been good to all of us.When the crosses get mixed in they will be $10 pet shop snakes and few collectors will want them.Do some checking how many green tree python breeders have the carpondros? This is just my opinion on this but it is also the opinion I express to the new people getting in the hobby.I dont buy sell trade or own crosses and I dont buy from breeders that make them.Terry
A Noble position.
I let the keepers decide what they want. And I do my best to offer it.
