topher03 Jun 19, 2007 04:06 PM

hey, i usualy use a red heat lamp for heating my BP,(mainly at night) because the temp in my room drops quite alot. but this time i bought a blue or moonlight bulb and didn't read to when i got home that it stimulates breeding behavour. isn't this a bad thing haha, am i going to have to worry about my snake being aggresive or anything?

I doubt you have anything to worry about. I don't use a light personally, but I have heard of some peopld using the blue lights all the time. The biggest thing that stimulates breeding in ball pythons is the temp drops at night. Mine never get any more agressive during breeding anyways...they just go off feed
