A source in Enforcement at TPWD has confirmed that Section 44 of HB12 is effective IMMEDIATELY.

.....then why was no one cited this past weekend? I was stopped in Brewster County Saturday night, and all I got was a license check and pleasant conversation!

HB12 was signed Jun 15. According to my informant, the policy/procedures still have to filter down to the Wardens.
