Unlike the Great Album from Nirvana over 15 years ago, this all asmells like a CRAPPY STING. Please dont move this post as it involves GREY BANDED enthusiasts and GREY BANDED hunters.
Now that the rules have changed you have a choice...
A. Stay Home and collect with your wallet.
B. Go out and OBSERVE wildlife only
C. Break the law and pick up what you see.
If you think you can mildly go about business like nothing has changed then you are probably the same guy that buys double mint chewing thinking your going to get a set of hot twins and make out in an elevator every time you chew it. Please don't let yourself be taken by HEAR SAY that wardens are going to stay Business As Usual until they hear differently.
Think about it... This is THE JOB they hold. If any one of them make some good busts then I am sure they will be rewarded for it. They have families, mouths to feed, bills to pay. Again this is common sense. If you ever watch any TV then you know they do the following...
1. Due Diligence (Research)
2. Gain Trust (develop relationships)
3. Setup The Take
4. BUST
Please Please Please be smart about the deals you make. If you buy any ALTERNA or Native Texas Animals after June 15th, please be sure you document that the animal is proven captive bred or Taken before the law was signed. GET THIS IN WRITING if you must. It only takes a few slow people in the group and WHAM it makes all of us look bad.
Dont take this out on the Wardens. They are only doing their job. If you do something stupid and get a ticket, then sure go ahead and fight it, if you can. However the best thing to do is NOT GET A TICKET. If they don't issue any citations then it PROVES THE POINT that all this stir was for NOTHING and there is plenty of Wildlife in Texas. Establishments like motels in Sanderson must be EXTREMELY CAREFUL...
Last... This is a BIG THING. Someone went through a lot of trouble to make sure this happened. To Justify all this work they will need to make some busts. Until the law is changed I would advise you not to be the POSTER BOY that takes the fall for this NEW LAW... As Always I wish each of you good luck this year and TREAD WITH CARE...
