Please Identify this Corn

KerryBarr Jun 19, 2007 10:10 PM

Hello,

I purchased this corn just over a year ago from a reputable reptile store, so I do not have any history other then I was told it was a "silver queen". I figured it was more on the side of a Crimson, but would like to hear any feedback regarding its visual characteristics.

Thank you for taking the time and I appreciate any feedback you have!!!

Thank you again - Kerry

That is not a silver queen.
I would lean more toward the crimson. It looks banded.
Unless the light is playing a trick...(like flash or ambient light interference) it looks to be a reddish saddle with gray background color. That is like a miami phase.

pretty snake either way and definitely not a silver queen or Any form of ghost for that matter.

Well, it's not a silver queen..

And, although i dont know corn morphs all that well (and even before reading misty's post) i was thinking banded miami.. possibly hypo??

Either way it's a really nice looking corn!

well since a crimson is a hypo miami phase and the cosensious is that it is at least a miami or banded miami its possibly a hypo which would make it a crimson.
the one thing no one has mentioned is that maybe it was sold or referanced to being "het" for silver queen, but it is definetly not a silverqueen

No problem!! Where are you located? I saw the Blackswamp Serpents on your signature line.

I currently live in San Diego, CA, but grew up in Toledo, OH. My longtime friend and business partner came up with the name and still lives in Ohio. I figured even if I live in San Diego, I could still get away with using the name since I am from the area as well! Hehe!

Are you from that area as well?

Thanks again for the feedback!

Best Regards,

Kerry Barr
