Wow thats no good. The wild life is alredy under a lot of pressure, sad to be loosing the big cats to them. I hope they can work out a solution.
Bermese have also started populating parts of Taiwan, and here most the naturnl fauna is in real trouble.
It is a shame people are so irresponsible, makes all of us look bad.

Ya its also a shame that the 200 pythons are to blame, but not the 1-2 million gators. If fish and wildlife commission is going to look at burms as a threat, they should also look at the 20 fold gator population since their addition to the protected species list. Before that there weren't many gators, now there are between one and two million, but the sub thousand population of burmese pythons is definitely the main culprit...NOT~!
Also, with exception to what I see on TV and in the newspapers, I've never heard of anyone reliable seeing burmese pythons in the glades. I've never seen one. I've never caught one. I don't know anyone that is not opposed to python regulations that has found one. It wasn't a herper who found the "exploded" burm in the glades, it was an anti-keeper.
We as a herb society need to stand up and do something about this mess, and save these animals that the humane society and fwc want DEAD. If they want to do something to keep animals out, we have to save the ones that are already there.
