Incubator...what kind?

mfoux Jun 20, 2007 11:06 PM

Just curious about what kinds of incubators different people are using. I've just gotten back into the hobby, but when I was a kid I used a Tupperware box with potting soil and Saran wrap. I'd place the box on top of the fridge for heat. I hatched almost everything I ever put in...snakes, lizards and turtles. My best clutch was 15 out of 16 prairie kings.

These days incubator choices are almost endless. Many people have great luck with basic Hovabator incubators, but some of the other brands (generally more expensive) may be more accurate. Check through the classifieds and supplies dealers.
