weekend homework - testimonials

lbenton Jun 21, 2007 02:20 PM

I need testimonials, and I need as many as I can get. Please write up a page or so. Send the soft copy to (Joe DOT Forks @ gmail DOT com) and (LanceBenton @ sbcglobal DOT net). If possible I would like to end up with a signed copy (either scanned or mailed) but I need to get as many of these in hand as I can this weekend.

This is very important, as one battle we are fighting is safety concerns.

What testimonials do I need?

1 – If you would be unable to hunt open country compared to a right of way due to Age (you are older or would take younger children with you) or some handicap.
2 – If you feel that this is personal safety issue due to injury or becoming lost with no quick easy access to a roadway if an incident occurred. Remember what cellular service is like out that way.
3 – You have a past experience to draw on: Injured, Lost, Etc. Something that demonstrates the dangers of open country compared to a ROW, at least in a sense that it complicates resolution if it would not have prevented the problem outright.
4 – Or if you can demonstrate how being on or near a ROW was a help in resolving an incident and how much more complicated it would have been if help was not that close.

I need my hands on it this weekend if possible, as many as I can get….

I also would like to replace the soft copies that are sent with signed copies that would carry more weight as we fight this.

Thanks for the help

I am not ready to put my home mailing address an open forum, but I will give it out if you email me at LanceBenton @ sbcglobal DOT net

One Safety issue I would like to point out is Illegal Aliens. Dont forget that those guys are willing to do anything to get to this side of the border and to a large city were they can blend in. I have had encounters with many Illegals and know that most of them are harmless but I have run into one who was convicted of three murders in California and was deported and was back for another round with the US. I will get them all ready in one place and we will have a stack of concerns to put up against a lack of data on the safety issue.

Lance, would fear of unknown terrain only be good enough? If one was to lease some property and not be familiar with the area in the dark, or get hurt be enough? I haven't been injured but think it would take much time away from your hunt and the possibilities for injury are magnified. I could write up something like that.

Just draw it up and send it in. The whole safety concern is going to get sunk.
