This is a dumb questions, and I feel bad asking it, but how do you tell the difference between a dwarf African bullfrog and the giant one when they are babies?

dont know myself, been ripped off before. i do know the eyes are farther apart on the giants and the dwarfs are almost always imported not cb where their are a few people here breeding the giants. to me they look alot alike when very young. IMO.

I really want to know also. If anyone has pictures of both species juveniles, that would be great. I know you can ask, but as pointed out there are lots of ripper-offers in the pet trade.

P. Edulis are brown and have a vivid dorsal stripe and often have a bright yellow underbody, particularly males.

P. Adspersus are more green, etc.

Also, growth rates are particularly faster with "Giants"
