That is a lot of pot...
no not what spurred this on,
just an example of real danger these guys deal with on a daily basis in that country. Incidentally that is also what we will be dealing with if we are forced onto large private tracts on land in the Trans Pecos area. Talk about a Safety consideration, at least Ray is packing heat, so I guess we will have to be armed to protect ourselves from Drug and Human smugglers, Lion, and Bear.
We have the pushes behind the bill now, and that wasn't one of them, neither are any Field Wardens from the Trans Pecos involved in the push.
I printed that one for my meeting too.
Next time you talk to Spears, ask him how hard it's gonna be to check our hunting license if we're scattered on private property. Also see our response to Jason about Border Patrol. It will be hard for him to check out every call from concerned citizens on suspicious activity, he will have to assume that every call about a spotlighter is someone poaching deer. If you scatter us all over six counties it seems that it will run them ragged.
I answered you down there. You are right on it.
Nice work Ray...sounds fun!

Interesting article. Imagine how complicated enforcement of drug and alien trafficing is going to become if HB12 forces us onto private land.
Border patrol, wardens, and sheriff's deputies are going to be running all over west Texas investigating suspicious lights.
Looks like smuggling drugs and aliens just got MUCH easier.
