an israeli viper , Vipera palaestinae .

the adolt one were at my cousin yard at sunset and released the next morning.



the juvenile {is a 06,this time of year they just started to lay eggs} was captured only in my camera during a daily walk with my dogs .thats me with her by the way...hey

..That is a really pretty snake. That pattern is similar to the European vipers. Is the snake like them with dangerous but not usually deadly venom?

it is the most dangerous snake in israel. not because of his venom but because of his distribution in israel ,and its habit to come along human dwelling .

100-300 bites and 0-2 dead incident every year.its to many for such a small country .
{the rest of the venoms snake in israel live faraway from human dwelling . in total we got here 42 species and 9 of them are venomes.
