that's the good news..
the bad news is that the "blister disease" has made an appearance again.
This time it's just starting.
Completely disassembled the current caging, brought Grover(my large male)who is showing a couple of small blisters, to the vet who took cultures, and taken biopsies along with pictures and sent them to a special lab in the sacramento area for analysis.
Now Grover is home, after his small surgery, dabbed down with betadine on affected areas, silvadyne ointment on the afected areas and we are awaiting the results from sacramento.
Of course I will post the results to the forum.
This outbreak occured at approximately the same time 2 years ago on the same uro.
(post breeding season)
On that same note, my female, oscar recently laid 39 eggs. 24 appear viable and were properly buried, 15 were scattered and left unburied.
those 15 were soft, gelatinous, and yellow.
Wishing you all the best.
Any suggestions always appreciated.
Ed
