awesome looking, that other one is a BIG one, damn...even the "smaller" one is LARGE compared to my adult female bci, makes mine look like a mini sized boa.

Nice coloration, any babies this year ?

Frank,
..I am hoping but not sure about either being gravid. The smaller one is actually more like 7.5 feet than 6.5 feet.

I would imagine due to their size , it could be hard to tell.

I have a 7 foot female dumeril, who was mated with once on April 15. She is a huge female, not over weight but solid like a rock. I only placed the male in with her because I read they may copulate till the middle of April. He mated with her once, I am not very optimistic, actually i didn't think they would mate once. She is thermoregulating, but I see not difference in her size or behavior.

All past fertile mating's with this pair occurred in the months December through February. I personally never bred this snake, I purchased them from someone I have known for years. After practically harassing him for nearly a decade he caved.

Since there was only one mating, if she is gravid, she would theoretically drop sometime between October - December. i had not planed on breeding her till next season. most likely she is not gravid, I would smile because i put them together spur of the moment, based on something I read.

Let's hope those suri's are gravid. If not there is always next year, that comment is not very medicinal.

I only tried to breed one pair of snaked this year, No copulation was seen. Looks like i am skunked this year. Doesn't really matter, I would have a tough time getting ride of them.

So if the female dumeril drops, I would have to say it was dumb luck, not a carefully planed breeding strategy.
