problems with rankin dragon

trime Aug 17, 2003 04:24 PM

Hello !

I write this mail, because, i have a couple of rankin dragons since three months (they're one year old). At the beginning they spend most of their time out their burrows. Since one month, they are almost in their burrow. The temperatures are 86°F in the cold part, and under the spot there's 104°F. I send you ŕ pict of the tank. The night the temperature drop to 71°F. I give every other day cockroach (blaptica dubia and blaberus atropos), and mealworms, all the day they have vagetables, but they don't touch them (the veggies). I add vitamins and calium two times a week. I would like to know if you coul have and idea on this behaviour ?

Thank you

let me give you a caresheet on them... i dont know much about rankins but frmo what i know, they prefer lower basking temps, more in the high 90's rather then the low 100's like the inland bearded dragon..also, they might be starting to brumate, which is a winter cooling time for them, how old are your dragons?
