Dark Mojaves

LibertyReptiles Jun 23, 2007 04:18 PM

This was my experimental clutch for the year, Mojave x very dark normal. The babies are dark, but still have decent blushing, this is the best one so far out of the egg, got 4/9 let me know what you guys think.

I think those are different and very neat! I like the contrast. I'm more impressed with that then a normal mojave. Congrats with the experimentation.

Wow I love the darkness, I hope they keep that dark as they get older. I will be looking forward to update pics as they get bigger.

I love it everything about that little one works very nicely together IMO.

that snake rocks. Are you sure mom was a normal though? That snake looks reeeeaaaallly aberrant. Almost looks like what I would expect a mojave X cinny to look like with all those floating alien heads.

I eat human infants. They, like everything else, taste like chicken. What?

LibertyReptiles Jun 23, 2007 06:35 PM

Yep...I'm pretty sure she's just normal, although she definitely looks different, that's why I gave it a shot. Just never know when a little something is hiding there.

I like it! It seems to have better contrast than alot of mojaves. Do you have any pics of mom?

LibertyReptiles Jun 23, 2007 06:29 PM

I'll post one later...it's feeding day, she would eat the camera lol.

Wow! That snake is perfect! Exactly the Mojave I would hope to hatch. I was thinking of taking my Mojave project in the other direction (I love light, clean, blushing morphs) but now I think I'll have to reconsider. I really didn't think introducing a darker mate would improve the Mojos traits. I was completely wrong.

I think you nailed that right on the head ! Very clean , grate contrast , Love it . David of DS Reptile Rescue

Here he is last year.

LibertyReptiles Jun 25, 2007 01:26 PM

Nice...did you produce that one? I was going to ask if you used a dark normal?

No I didn't produce him, but he was the darkest of the clutch. The rest of them looked like normal mojos. Here's a recent pic of him. He has lightened up some, but thats to be expected.

LibertyReptiles Jun 25, 2007 02:02 PM

Oh yeah!!! He looks great...should make some nice babies for ya.
