hey i was wondering if when the veggies are in his cage, can you still put crickets in there??also, yesterday he ate 5 phoenix worms,3 baby silkworms, and about 7-8 crickets..would that be a good days eatting for such a small guy??check out my link to see the pics of my new baby boy/girl..tell me how hes looking..also,do they take naps during the day??he has been closing his eyes sometimes..not sure if thats normal..also,he hasn't really explored his cage yet,and not sure if he drinks out of his water dish,so i've been misting his head and he drinks it like that..also,any suggestions you have i'd appreciate..

That's a small baby. Yes I think that's a good days eating. Crickets in with salad is fine although that's not how I do it. Closing his eyes is Ok but it may be a sign of stress. Some times they think if they can't see then nothing can see them too. lol. I don't know what you are using as a cage but I would recommend at very least you cover 3 sides with something bland (cardboard, brown paper, etc.) so he feels he can't be attacked from all directions. I put in water dishes for my benefit but have never seen any beardie I ever had use it for drinking. The misting is good. Try an eyedropper to get him to drink.
