My reply to 106 days post had some bad math. Sorry, Robert. I was off by 10 days. First Eastern clutch, kept at cool temps, slit their eggs this morning, total 114 days. Picture to follow when they're out. Erebennus clutch is next. All Texas hatchlings are spoken for. Two more Eastern clutches to follow. I lost one Eastern egg from first clutch and probably at least one Texas egg with rupture out the bottom into the vermiculite. Both clutches were in the same box. In that same box an Eastern egg that looked great until mid-May sunk in a lot and grew moldy. I separated it from others and finally opened it a few days ago. Well developed snake was dead in the egg. None of this has happened in other two boxes of eggs. Substrate too moist? Bad location?

Hi Steve,

Congrats on the Easterns hatching.

Do you have a high, low and mean temperature for the eggs? Dan said his incubation temp was 78. From what you posted earlier, it sounded like your temps were in the low 70s, but it didn't take your eggs any longer to hatch. Funny.

Thanks, Robert.
