Are any of the Mantellas arboreal in nature or do thay all prefer the forest floor?
Mantella laevigata is semi-arboreal. They are a very unique species of mantella. They have enlarged toe pads so that they can climb better and generally lay their eggs a few feet above ground in holes in trees. There is a great website about them, something everyone here that is interested in mantella frogs should have a look at. Here is the URL: http://www.ummz.lsa.umich.edu/students/heying/research.htm
