Kudzu okay?

PerryA Jun 24, 2007 09:24 PM

Just trying to find an abundant hardy vine for the terrarium. Has anyone used kudzu? I know it is eaten by many animals including humans, is it safe to use? Thanks.

I don't know if its safe for all species. What are you housing in with it?

I do know that it spreads like crazy and grows fast.

I'd be putting mangroves in with it. I know it grows pretty fast, but I figured I could keep it cut back. Are there any other good hardy vines that do well in terraria?

Sorry, didn't realize this same discussion was in another forum.

Since you're housing snakes I wouldn't worry too much about ingestion, but you might want to go with pathos instead. It's hardy, quick growing (and you can grow more off of cuttings), cheap and won't take over your neighborhood if you accidentally toss some in the compost pile.
