thats an ingredient, unless you are dividing Anery and Axanthic, thought to be the same by some and different by others,i have a idea that the Axanthic is probably the Brooks phase and the Anery the Dark Fla. King. Chris

Thats true about the names being used inchangably and its just something we in the hobby differentiate for the dark and florida and lighter "brooksi" pahse. But I have heard of a another axanthic/anery phase that is not allelic with the others. (Maybe horridus with chime in with info from that?) He got DH axanthic/anerys from the Rick Trenny (Renegade reptiles) (who recently passed away). Evidently he (Rick) bred the two strains togther and got all hets. The odd ax/anery he had came from BHB but I think where the confusion comes in BHB (Brian) has 2 different lines of the same looking dark "anery" florida king.

Why go Anery when you could own a N.E. Axan? maybe personal preferance or an ingredient for future offspring.btw i hate New england as a reference to a Fla. King.L8rrrrrrr

Are there any snows or ghosts made with anything other than NE or Lemke axanthics? Pics? Comparison shot?

I think you would have to clarify what bloodline you are referring to, as many people use the terms interchangeably. despite years of discussion and arguments on this very forum, I don't think anyone can present evidence that brooksi are either or. a strong argument could be made for axanthic as there are no wild type red brooksi to cross test breed the anerythristic hypothesis. on top of that, i previously owned a ghost originating from an axanthic line that started to show a little yellow on the ventral scales. was that food dye passed on from the rodents it ate or genetics?
the original line of ghosts had bloodlines from Llemke axanthic brooksi.
as i understand it there are three other common recessive traits that fall under this category
-the new england axanthic
-bhb anerythristic floridana
-black and white axanthic. i don't know the history on these but they are an interesting animal, the hatchlings are literally black and white floridana. I have seen several of these at daytona, but i am not sure who is currently breeding them.
