Hello everyone! I was helping my in-laws with wheat harvest this weekend. I really thought I would see more in the way of herps. I saw one racer, one ornate box turtle, a couple of skinks, and a MILLION toads. I had to drive by Cheyenne Bottoms(a wetland area in Kansas believe it or not!), and the toads were everywhere on the road. I am talking thousands! All about the size of a quarter to half dollar. We have had a lot of rain here this year and that has definately helped the amphibians out I believe. I was disappointed in the fact that I did not see one Bull. I thought I would see a ton but not a one! I know they are around, I just must never have been in the right place at the right time. On the positive bull note I came home to two bull clutches hatching and my western fox clutch hatching! For the iceing on the cake, I am supposed to get my Ginter bred pair of pumilus on Tuesday! I am way pumped! Take care everyone!
Jeremy
