Need feeding advice

Crittercrazy Aug 17, 2003 07:27 PM

I posted before, but didn't get a response, so I'm trying again.

My BP Squeeze is now 15 months, and I just switched him from mice to sm. rats. I know some people switch a lot sooner, but I didn't feel right about it. He didn't start getting real wide until just recently.

He ate his first dead rat about 6 days ago, and immediatly went into a shed. Question is: Should I keep feeding him once a week, or should I now lessen feedings? And if so, how often should I feed him? He's about 32" now, and is getting quite heavy bodied.

Thanks!

Sure. Keep offering food on the same schedule. Although once every 10 to 14 days is plenty. He’ll keep feeding until he decides to stop. And if he really is a male – I’ve just never seen an overweight adult male ball python. Has anybody?
