care questions...

bizkit421 Jun 26, 2007 03:41 PM

My friend is movin out of state and is giving me her Mali Uro and I was just curious if there was a good site with care sheets that I could trust...
We rescued the little guy 3 years ago from a moron that was feeding him Fruity Pebbles because they "smelled like the food the petshop gave us for him and we didn't feel like goin back to the petshop"
His skin was hanging off him and we thought he would die, but he made a comeback and looks very good now... I'd like to keep him that way, and I'm sure my friend will give me instructions before she leaves, but I don't want to have to call NC everytime I have a question...
I'll post pics as soon as I get him...

Who would you call in NC foor answers? The previous owner? Doesn't sound like they knew what they were doing in the first place (just my opinion)! Try some of these sites (just copy & paste them into your browser):

http://deerfernfarms.com/Uromastyx_Care.htm

http://www.anapsid.org/uromastyx.html

These are the first two sites that come to my mind; I'm sure there's other suggestions. Good luck and keep us posted!

lol... guess I must have worded that wrong... My friend thats giving him to me is NOT the one that fed him fruity pebbles... I was with my friend when she rescued him from those idiots...
She's moving to NC and isn't allowed to take him with her, so he's coming to my house... I'm not goin to argue with her if shes givin me a free Uromastyx...
Thanks for the links, I'm sure I'll put them and this forum to good use...
