Juvenile atrox found while hiking...he was cute

He wasn't a happy camper...

Just a wee bit closer...love the tongue action

Found this little guy not too far from the other one...

And wanted to play peek-a-boo...

Different night, same location....in situ shot.

Decided to get him a bit more "out in the open"

Found approx 50 yds. from the longnose....

I love all the yellow

But pretty darn cool...Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion....out lookin' for bugs....

Nice shots! Love the scorpion.
That scorp was awesome...they're all over where I go hiking, and I see at least 3 different species every time I go out...But the Desert Hairys are the most impressive....They are just awesome bugs....

Great shots. Those Tigers look a bit like Specks we have here in SoCal. The Longnose and the really pretty picture perfect textbook Sonoran are awesome.

Thanks reako...Yeah, I've found that tigers can be remarkably variable...some I've found have been slate gray, some fire orange, some burnt orange, pink, etc...great lookin' snakes but I still think mitchelli are much more variable....
That Sonoran gopher was fantastic....lotsa yellow in him...and I loved the way the yellow crept up the sides of the longnose...clean looking snake...
We have cool lookin' reptiles here in Az...I knew there was a reason I lived here....

Very nice finds. I don't see many Tigers posted so this was a treat. Thanks
