A nice little surprise from today.

BASICALLYBOAS Jun 26, 2007 04:32 PM

Well I for sure pegged this female to slug out on me this season. She was due 7/9/07 and cruising her cage yesterday, so I figured there would be slugs to clean up today. I opened her tub as she is in a rack system and saw her all deflated and skinny. I pulled her out and lifted the cardboard to find 2 T-Pos C.A's and 3, 66% Poss Hets! There was a total of 5 babies and 2 slugs. The funny thing about this is she is the smallest Boa I have ever bred! She is roughly about 3.5lbs -4lbs pre-breeding weight. She was not too small as she is a mature 4 year old female.
I am very happy about getting 2 T+ out of 5 for being a Het X Het breeding!

Man do I love Boas! LOL
Thanks for looking.

Congrats Mike on the nice T positives. Any pics of the mother? I had a large and thick 3 yr old hypo female drop only 3 normal(1 stillborn) babies and 3 slugs when I was expecting 3 times that.

Those are some awesome odds and some sweet looking T's.

Mike, You're welcome. IT worked out for the both of us. I also have a lot of Jewel Grandkids, and the bloodline is one of the BEST!!!!! She was one I loved too, and Gaylynns favorite. It was sad to see her pass last year. However, after 5 good years of litters and the slug out, I think I pushed her that last year!!! She has a lot of good prodigy that will give her a good legacy!!!!

Congrats on the 2 Males and the 3 poss females. That is awesome odds. The babies from that bloodline too are just amazing feeders, and they grow very well. My Motleys and T pos Motleys from jewel decent have been dynomite!!! Long live jewel!!

It was killing me to know the sex of the group.....and it ended up being 2.0 T-Pos & 0.3 66% Poss Hets!
Great outcome!
