Bisque shed the other day so here are some fresh pictures of her. I included a closeup of her crescents for you, Bob, per your request.

Thanks Liann! My camera is just a Canon Powershot A510. It really is just a "cheap" digital camera, but it takes some decent pictures for 3.2 megapixels. I wish I could figure out if it had a manual focus option or not. Sometimes that automatic focus really ticks me off! lol!

"Cheap" camera or not, those pics are awesome! I'm finding that my old cheap 2.5 megapixel camera takes way better pictures than my new 7 megapixel one. I have yet to get a good picture out of that thing. I'm sure it is user error.

Thanks for the compliment on my picture taking skills!
I really don't think I am all that great, just that I am lucky all the time...lol!
Hopefully you can get your new one to work under your set of rules!

Thanks for the pics Aubrey I like that snake, now all I need is a nice camera and some picture taking skills like you and I will be all set
Bob
Thanks Bob! Just take a million pictures, and you're bound to get some good ones!

very nice i swear every1 in this forum photo shops in the irredescents. cause no matter what i do i can NEVER capture it. no matter what lighting no matter what i have the camera set to nothin grrr one day ill get it
Tim, I have found that getting shots from directly above or an almost 90 degree angle seem to yield the most rainbow shots. I could be way off though, so don't rely on me!
Most of the time I dont really "try" to get the rainbow, but its still there. I think it depends on lighting, position of camera, and position of snake.
Hey since you live so close, perhaps one day we could have a "photo party" and I could photograph your collection for you!

Thanks Frank! I find myself doing the same thing when I see crisp photos of BRBs. I seem to be fascinated with the very thin almost transparent outlines on each scale.

I guess that's normal. (smiles)
