Mamba bite update must read !

budman 1st Aug 17, 2003 07:54 PM

The bite is on the news It was on channel 13 fox.
But I still respect his privacy.
so no names
The press is outside his house looking like vultures.
A multiple bite by a big black is a worst case senario.
If you dont get the Antivenom in fast like the first 3-4 hours there will be prolonged life support.
In this case the victim got bit around 10pm and recived av at 4:00 am I might be off a little but the window for quick recovery has been missed .
but the respirator can make up for this time lag and works well.
Here is the great news he moved a eyebrow!!!!
after 6 pm.
Also he flatlined but I dont know how long and a reaction to the SA av.
He is still not out of the woods yet possible kidney and liver damage but in mamba bite this is rare but has happened in massive bite as this was.
Thanks VENOM1 you guys are great!
updates to come so cross your fingers my friend makes it.
be safe
bud

ps to whoever called his wife and ran his pie hole
saying I mentioned his name should get a life
or learn how to read i am very carefull to not mention NAMES!

I hope he recovers well and fully, and gets back to his varmints soon. That's a tragic thing that really can happen to anyone no matter how experienced. We do our best to minimize the risk, but there's always that little clash between human error and animal instinct.

For everyone out there that keeps hots...please let this slow you down a bit and make you think about every move again (just like when you first started). We don't need any more of these...of all the critters out there, the Herper is the rarest. We need to keep all of us around a while.

Sure sounds like hard times for your friend. I'll certainly mention him in my prayers. We'll be waiting for further updates.
