my snake has not eaten lately around three months and she will constrict her prey hold it for a short while and let it go? rat is still alive? i feed her on the smaller side due to the fact that she may get bitten with this way of striking. any comments?

....... I had a simular problem whtn I got my adult male, he would strike and restrict, but would not or could not kill it... I gave him a huge full size rat and it was like magic.. 15 sec to fig out where rat was, then WAP!!!
