There are many ways to do things. Watch your animals. Solve there problems. I would not even begin to disagree with Joe, Dave or Tracy. They have forgotten more than I know. It seems to me you are doing your home work. I'm sure you will solve there problems. Enjoy your animals. Claude
agree with both under the right circumstances. I personally would rather mist during shed rather than a moist hide but some animals still don't shed properly and require a moist hide as the air gets dry inside an airconditioned house. I also try not to do complete bedding changes on a weekly basis as it can stress out certain animals. However, I will change it alot more frequently than every 2-3 months, maybe more like every 2-3 weeks but you have to stay on top of the spot cleaning and if anything is left longer than a day it gets funky quick and a complete change is required IMHO. Hope this helps.

I agree with ClaudeBalls. It depends. For example, I live in FL where the humidity is almost 1 billionkagillion percent all the time. There is almost no need for me to provide a humid hide. Light misting during the shed process is all I need. Now, someone in an area like Arizona might need to supply a swimming pool to bring up humidity :O

I use the moist mossy hide and have had great results with 3 snakes since I have used this method. I won't go back now that I know this method
As for full cleaning of the cage I think I do a full cleaning every 2 months or so...as needed and spot clean as needed, usually once a week other then a water change daily
