These lizards are everywhere down here. How can they be propagating when other species such as the American Anole are depleting?

Simple. These little guys are hardy and really have no competition like the green anole does. I had 4 of these guys as my first lizards. 15 years late I still have one of them. The green anole has compettion from several introduced anolis species like the brown. I was down in florida a few weeks ago and I used to see the greens all the time but all I saw were the browns. Kind of depressing too.
