found worm in cricket container

i was looking in my cricket container and found this worm that looks like a dark brown wax worm crawlin around on top of the quaker oats i leave in there. i buy my crickets from a reptile store and was wondering what kind of worm this was and if it could harm the crickets and/or my geckos... any info is greatly appreciated

Amy-

Dont feed it to your geckos if you have no idea what it is. I dont encourage that.

It could be some kind of bug that might eat dead crickets. I have heard of that before.

Also I have been told that when crickets are shipped out and are in route 2-3 days they can pick up "hitch hikers" (other bugs) and they can get into the screening or something.

Just dont feed it. If you see it again just throw it out.

There was a post a while back about a similar worm found with crickets. I remember reading something that the worm is not harmful and all it does is eats the dead crickets. Hope this helps!

I also recceived a couple of those things in my vricket container, they come from the cricket food and may harm your gecko, because of their small hairs that may irriate your and your geckos skin, so I recomend you to kill them and do not feed your gecko with them!!!
