Box turtle laws??

Hi,

I have homes in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and I just read that you need a permit to keep eastern box turtles in Massachusetts. However, it didn't say that you needed a permit for captive bred eastern box turtles. Does anyone know the laws concerning captive bred eastern boxies?
