They've WON, so....

...Why, then, are they talking to us at all? From their perspective, they certainly don't have to. Could it be that some of the arguments of us and our supporters in the legislature and, yes, in TPW (they do exist-I've spoken to a couple myself) have made an impact? We have good, logical reasons and data behind our positions-do any of you doubt that?

Maybe it's another trick-some kind of smokescreen-but isn't the chance that it is an honest effort worth a little forbearance on our part, at least long enough to see if the effort is serious? Maybe, after having personal interactions with a few of us, they found we didn't fit their preconceptions. I know for a fact that they have been operating under several factual misconceptions that we have recently been able to clear up.

I'm not saying we should kiss anybody's *ss-just be a little patient. Believe me, if it IS another trick, then I'll be at the head of the picket line at the Statehouse.

Think about it. They can't enforce this law without our acquiesence, and NOBODY (as far as I know) has accepted this ban. In addition, now they've had to resort to a remarkable and humiliating last gasp attempt to redefine the word animal in the Texas "hunting" regulations, in order to stop people from hunting the public roads and right-of-ways.
I mean, the Regulation Coordinator is on record as flip-floping on the issue of invertebrates. That is precious IMO. In the meantime, logojoe.com continues. Legislative abuse is associated with Harvey Hilderbran on the internet. And, they haven't seen the legal challenges to come. I think they've actually lost this fight, and they lost it when they went behind everyone's back to back to slip it in. It's just a matter of time.
