Black Knight

dragontails Aug 17, 2003 09:27 PM

I have a Savannah Monitor in the same room as my Leos. My sav has a small mite problem. I'd planned on just using some black knight to kill them but i dont know if it is safe to use Black knight around leos. If not, what precautions should I take to prevent anything from happening to my leos?

thanx

I think that you are NOT supposed to use black knight on any gecko species... (I think I read that somewhere?)

If you only treat your sav's enclosure I wouldn't imagine the geckos would have a problem, but it wouldn't hurt to take them to another room for the day when you spray.

Hopefully someone else will have a 100% conclusive answer.

Black Knight being sprayed near the cages should not hurt your geckos. I have used it to spray for ants in and around my leo racks before with no adverse effects. Always remember, Black Knight only takes a couple of quick "puff puffs" to do its job.

Good Luck.
