? about numbers.

Hi. I have been reading this forum for a month now. It has helped me out with my crested gecko, he is doing great and getting bigger. My question is the numbers people put in front of what they have. Like 1.0.2 flame gecko, and any other order of numbers. It may be a stupid question but I haven't figured it out yet. Any one want to clue me in.

Thanks.

ok here it is...
the first number means male, the second means female and the third means you dont know or babies.

For example, 1.2.1
=1 male. 2 females. 1 baby or unsexed.

Hope this helps!!! i had the same problem too.

Don't worry, it is not a dumb question. When I first got started reading Kingsnake was with my first Beardie...it took me months and months to ask the same question that you just asked. so dont worry about it. Any way, the first number is the number of males, the second number the number of females, and the third number is the number of unsexed animals.

So a 1.3.5 would be 1 male, 3 females, and 5 we dont know yets.
Then after the numbers people may say what specifically they have. ie. 1.3 dalmation...would mean 1 m 3 f all dalmation cresties. etc etc etc.

Ask whenever and whatever...it is ok....and welcome to the group. You should post a pic of your lil guy...we all love to see pics. :-D

Thanks, that clears things up for me. I have taken a few pictures but he is hard to see. I'd like to get more shots but he is always hiding in the leaves during the day when the light is on. He is only active once I turn out the light for meal time. Next time I take him out to do a thorough cleaning, I'll try and get a good shot.
