one of my boyfriend's dart frogs died today, and I was trying to cheer him up with a little herp humor. (it didn't work)

http://www.ouraynet.com/kevin/sickfrog.jpg

he wouldn't eat, so we put the little guy in quarantine, and he still wouldn't eat, this is what he looked like just before he died. my boyfriend is taking him to the vet now to do a necropsy, to make sure he doesn't lose any others... =(

I am very sorry to hear that, it is very sad when you loose an animal. I hope eveything turns out ok. I know what would cheer me up, a few Dendrobates azureus would do the trick!!!

I always have a hard time getting my passion vines to bloom in my cage, because they need a lot of light, and I only have some plant lights I bought from home depot (yet amazingly it works) but today two of the bloomed. I like to think of it as a tribute to the poor little dart frog that passed on today.

You need to get some terribilis or bicolor!! Those frogs are awesome!! Imagine a frog similar in size to a tinc that will eat large crickets!! They will eat everything and aren't afraid of anything!! My orange ones come to the edge of the glass and beg like dogs for flies!!

I could use some terribilis to be honest. The larger prey item is a very tempting attribute. Breeding fly's stinks and pin head crickets get expensive. But at that time I had other critters that ate any crickets that got some size.

Now a arrow poison frog that eats big crickets and is soooo beautiful is quite tempting indeed...twitches...slight head jerk, damn enablers, they are everywhere, more pics please,............

I know someone in Jersey that has some hatching right now, as in now. I am down for a pair of womas and one female jungle carpet as well, I am highly addicted to all pythons. I have at least 8 different species of python lol. Only 5 different species of boas.

Amazon tree
Dumerils
Bci
Brazilian Rainbow
Yellow anacondas ( cute but very agro )

I have been studying aggression in pythons since the mid eighties. I have had some very aggressive animals in my collection over the years. Once upon a time, the only snakes I acquired where considered ferociously aggressive. Aggression in reptiles and amphibians etiology is quite different when compared to hominids.

I am working w/ two different breeders right now to get some. I have 3 pair picked out already and waiting to see what the other breeder has. I will be getting some very nice womas in the next month or so.

from wall to wall reptiles, they are just awesome animals all around, they are voracious feeders for their small size.

good honest guy to do business with, anyone that's talk's your ear of in a good way and delivers quality animals get's an A plus plus in my book.

the guy breeding the womas ( Mike Curtain / Captain-nemo ) in NJ purchased a neonate reticulated python I bred with my friend in the mid 90's. Now he's hooked on snakes , especially Australian pythons.

awesome.. I just have 1 at the moment.. but he is an eater for sure. Everytime I go down there it is periscoping to the top of the tub looking around and begging for a rat.. they grow really fast too!

I know I am getting 3 pair from Todd Towbridge as soon as they are ready to go. I will be looking at another very nice breeders animals this weekend and hoopefully adding another 2-3 more pairs.

after getting some more snakes you must be approaching 60-ish Frank and on a side note I went by my friends on Sunday and held his near 13-foot female and she is about 5-5.5 inches in diameter and 50 something pounds I would imagine and giving me a workout it was a task to keep her in the grass and not wrapping around the trampoline legs and I will take pics of his lavender and normal for you also when I get a chance
