about a week ago i bought a young healthy ball python from my local petstore. i am keping it in a ten gallon with lighting and a heat pad the temperure is 88 in the basking spot and 80 on the cool side i have a hide box and the humidity is 50%. i am also kepping in a finished garage on shelf is this ok? but i cant get him im to eat i tried to feed him small fuzzy but he shyed away from them is he just stressed or am i dfoing somthing wrong please help !!

Congrats on your new addition! Your setup sounds correct. He's probably just stressed from being in a new environment. I would suggest leaving him completely alone for another week and then trying again. Don't handle him at all until he's eating consistently for you. Also, make sure you feed him at night (preferably with the light off). Did you offer a mouse or rat fuzzy? Fuzzy mice are a little on the small side, even for a baby. You might have better luck with a hopper. The only other thing I can think of is make sure you don't leave the light on at night unless you have a red bulb.

today i bought a dead pinky and put it right next to him and it loos like he might take it i will have a update shortly
