Lol, it is definitely contagious! I remember when I got my first snake. My husband was like "whoa, keep that thing away from me!" Now just a few years later, he is TOTALLY into them. He cleans them, feeds them, has pictures of them at work... Sent all of his family pictures of our first bp eggs etc... Night and day change!

people hate the things they don't understand right Tim? But then they find out about them they all love them. Now if I could only get them to love my feeder rodents but that ain't gonna happen ever but I still try at that lost cause

TimS Jun 29, 2007 09:23 AM

hey it isnt a lost cause with the feeder rodents just put a few in a tank somewhere in a maine room tell everyone they are pets and when feeding time comes replace them with new ones just like gold fish and tell them your snake eat steak lol.

One of my favorite weekend hobbies is to vist local pet shops to see what new reptiles they have in (I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go in one that has all new snakes). I like talking to the employees (I don't completely waste their time because I usually do buy at least some supplies and cage decorations or something) about the reptiles, and it still amazes me to hear the stories from so many people that when they started working at the pet shop, they were terrified of snakes, but HAD to work with them some...and almost all of them fall in love with snakes, usually really fast! It's amazing that people can have such a extreme fear of something, and lose that fear and end up loving the animal so fast! Snakes are truely missunderstood by the mass population. Too bad we can't pass a law requiring everyone to work at a pet shop with reptiles, I think things would be different lol.

of levels is not allowed per the sacred texts. Until you complete the requirements for level 10, unfortunately, you are still a level 9. Good news is once you have your first litter, then you go straight to level 11.

rainbowsrus Jun 29, 2007 05:13 PM

Guess there are not enough wize a$$es like me on the forum. I know I wouldn't have let it go.

I like that, those that think they're all that go back to square one. Can we add they have to forfeit all currently kept herps?
