Momma Corn looks puny after egg laying???

Jud_B Aug 17, 2003 10:28 PM

I have a corn who layed eggs back in May & layed again last week. I assume this is double clutching. What causes a snake to double clutch? She refused to eat the last two times I offered food. Then she layed eggs, so that explained why she was not eating. Now that I'm trying to get her weight built back up, how much & how often should I feed her? Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks in adavance.

Unfortunately my corn triple clutched this year, her first breeding season, and if I could've stopped it I would've. She's down to 1/4th the weight she was in the spring before she laid her first clutch. I just feed her as much as frantically as I can so she doesn't die on me. Right now I'm feeding her 2 or 3 mice about twice a week. MUST get her pounds back on before she even thinks about brumating.
