Hey there. I bought a hatchling Sulcata at the big Expo in Daytona on Saturday. He goes into his little cave and parks himself facefirst against a wall and sleeps for hours on end. He then wakes up and is spunky and eats well. When we have to move him while he's sleeping he seems to take several minutes to wake up. Does all of this sound normal? Our home is around 73 degrees. The turtle is in a long 40 gallon tank. His full spectrum lamp shines on one end and his fake cave is just a few inches away. Will the lamp's heat carry far enough to keep the temps. okay?
